The Valentine Draw winners were: Beth Kaplan and Sean Thompson. Thanks to sponsors Tony Mulder and Stavros for the draw prizes and I Love Creston as co sponsors. Because we had so many entries, we are putting together a half hour show of the readings. Thanks to all who participated and shared your thoughts and stories with us.
We continue to offer training in recording, editing and familiarity with station operations. If you want to volunteer a little time and get involved in getting programs on air or have an idea for a show, these free workshops will give you the opportunity to develop needed skills.
One of this week’s on air additions were the voices of the First Creston Cub troupe who came for a tour and had just a bit of fun recording and being on air. Listen for their station announcements. New programs and re organizing of programming is an ongoing venture. Due to popular demand, Life in the Valley is being developed as an hour long program which will feature a broad range of interviews from agriculture to health, arts and culture, community issues and recreation to name a few.
Nominations for directors are being accepted for the AGM and elections on April 1st. Proposed bylaw changes can be viewed on the website and copies are available at the station.
You can listen to CIDO 97.7FM on your dial, live streaming on the internet and to Audio Archives on the website. The progarm schedule, photos and other information also on www.crestonradio.ca ...remember to pick up your copy of the I Love Creston magazine, available for free at most retailers in Creston!
