Excuses Won’t Be Tolerated This Holiday Season

WorkSafeBC is partnering with ICBC to remind you that if you drink at a holiday party, think twice before driving.

We’ve all heard people say, “I always make it home after a few,” “I can handle my liquor,” or “One more drink won’t hurt.” But all too often, drivers who make these excuses end up ruining lives.

• On average, 120 people die each year in alcohol-related collisions in BC.
• Get home safely by planning ahead:
• Set aside money for a cab or public transit
• Choose a designated driver
• Get a ride with a sober friend or family member
• Never let a person who’s been drinking alcohol drive
