What is CSA?

Community Shared Agriculture is a system of growing and distributing naturally-grown produce which restores the link between farmers and consumers.

The 2008 Creston Grain CSA project has engaged three local farmers to grow four naturally-grown grains. They will be planting enough acres for an estimated yield of 100 lbs of grain per crop shareholder. The unmilled product will be packaged, labeled by farm, and available for pickup from two distribution points in the fall.

Grateful acknowledgment to the following local non-profits for organizational assistance and support.

  • Wildsight
  • West Kootenay Eco Society
  • Creston Valley Food Action Coalition
